Art Making and Exhibiting Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) - Units 1 and 2*

Our Art Making and Exhibiting Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are written by experienced VCE teachers, who are also VCE Exam Assessors. These tasks are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format. A variety of tasks are available for both Unit 1 and Unit 2.

Students are not permitted to order these tasks.

The Art Making and Exhibiting Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only.

TSSM's Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are designed to target the key areas of the Study Design for Art Making and Exhibiting. These tasks are a valuable resource with which to assess the coursework components of Unit 1 and 2 Art Making and Exhibiting. All tasks are supplied with full solutions.

Targeted Evaluation Tasks for Art Making and Exhibiting have been prepared for both Units 1 and 2. The following packages are available to schools:

Unit 1 Package includes 5 tasks -

Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (One option included):

1. An outline of a proposed investigation of studio practice using visual language

Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Two options included):

1. A selection of exploratory work and a visual diary, showing sources of ideas and inspiration translated into visual form through the use of a variety of materials and techniques
2. A presentation of at least one finished artwork.
    

Outcome 3 for Area of Study 3 (Two options included):

1. An extended response
2. Short answer responses

Unit 2 Package includes 6 tasks -

Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (Two options included):

1. Visiting an exhibition
2. Writing and Exhibition Proposal

Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Three options included):

1. Generating themes, developing ideas and subject matter
2. Considering Art Elements and Principles
3. Experimental Artworks

Outcome 3 for Area of Study 3 (One option included):

1. Finished Artworks
   
    

These tasks provide teachers with a degree of flexiblity when setting assessment tasks for their students. While TSSM thoroughly checks the accuracy and relevance of these Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET), prior to assessing students, it is the individual school's responsibility to ensure that these are an appropriate form of assessment.

*Unit 1 Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) will be released on February 6, 2025 and Unit 2 will be released on May 29, 2025. Orders made in advance are welcome.
