Media Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) - Units 3 and 4*

Our Media Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are written by experienced VCE teachers, who are also VCE Exam Assessors. These tasks are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format. A variety of tasks are available for both Unit 3 and Unit 4.

Students are not permitted to order these tasks.

The Media Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only.

TSSM's Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are designed to target the key areas of the Study Design for Media. These tasks are a valuable resource with which to assess the coursework components of Unit 3 and 4 Media. All tasks are supplied with full solutions.

Targeted Evaluation Tasks for Media have been prepared for both Units 3 and 4. The following packages are available to schools:

Unit 3 Package includes 2 tasks -

Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (Two options included):

1. Short responses
2. Structured questions 

Unit 4 Package includes 2 tasks -

Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Two options included):

1. Written Report
2. An Essay

Unit 3&4 Package includes 4 tasks -

Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Two options included):

1. A research portfolio and accompanying documentation examining aspects of the selected media form.
2. Production exercises with accompanying documentation that demonstrate a range of skills in the use of media technologies and production processes relevant to the student selected media form.
    

Outcome 3 for Unit 3 (One option included):

1. A media production design plan based on concepts, intentions and the selected media form identified in Unit 3, Outcome 2.
    

Outcome 1 for Unit 4 (One option included):

1. A media product for a specific audience developed from the media production design produced in Unit 3
    

These tasks provide teachers with a degree of flexiblity when setting assessment tasks for their students. While TSSM thoroughly checks the accuracy and relevance of these Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET), prior to assessing students, it is the individual school's responsibility to ensure that these are an appropriate form of assessment.

*Unit 3 Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) will be released on February 6, 2025 and Unit 4 will be released on May 29, 2025. Orders made in advance are welcome.
