Politics Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) - Units 3 and 4*
Our Politics Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are written by experienced VCE teachers, who are also VCE Exam Assessors. These tasks are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format. A variety of tasks are available for both Unit 3 and Unit 4.
Students are not permitted to order these tasks.
The Politics Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only.
TSSM's Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are designed to target the key areas of the Study Design for Politics. These tasks are a valuable resource with which to assess the coursework components of Units 3 and 4 Politics. All tasks are supplied with full solutions.
Targeted Evaluation Tasks for Politics have been prepared for both Units 3 and 4. The following packages are available to schools:
Unit 3 Package includes 8 tasks -
Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (Four options included):

Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Four options included):

Higher order questions on challenges and consequences
Unit 4 Package includes 8 tasks -
Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (Four options included):

Extended response on the different types of power of an Indo-Pacific state

Report on the national interests of an Indo-Pacific state

Structured questions on the foreign policy instruments of an Indo-Pacific state

Essay evaluating the capacity to achieve national interests of an Indo-Pacific state
Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Four options included):

Case study on Australia's national interests

Test on the different perspectives internally and externally in Australia

Multimedia presentation on foreign policy instruments or forms of power exercised by Australia

Short answer questions on Australia's response to regional issue/crisis
These tasks provide teachers with a degree of flexiblity when setting assessment tasks for their students. While TSSM thoroughly checks the accuracy and relevance of these Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET), prior to assessing students, it is the individual school's responsibility to ensure that these are an appropriate form of assessment.
*Unit 3 Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) will be released on February 6, 2025 and Unit 4 will be released on May 29, 2025. Orders made in advance are welcome.
